Default Rebuilding my "Hyper"-Chip

Ibought this airplane in the mid 90's. It was already built and setup for speed (retracts, OPS 60 super) and I LOVEDit. After dropping out of the hobby for 15 years, Irecently re-entered and have been resurrecting some of my old airplanes.

The "hyper" chip was the 3rd of my little fleet to get back in the air. It was flying great, but the engine was predictably in need of some lovin'...it died and Itried to make a turn back to the field (stupid!) at low altitude. Needless to say, there was a stall, spin, and crunch from about 30 feet in the air.

This was the result:

The rebuild:

Fuse re-joined

Ihad help

Reinforcing the joint

Rebuild turtledeck, repaired and installed firewall

Repair wing (minor damage, luckily)

Re-cover, install new canopy and new cowl

Finished, and at the field on the first flight after repair
