Default RE: what 2.4 article

ORIGINAL: Sport_Pilot

The RC industry has a lot invested in 2.4GHz technology currently so Ihighly doubt they will want to move back to an archaic frequency.
Others are saying this is the RC industry trying to get us to buy even more radios. I don't see how a frequency can be archaic, it is either that frequency or this frequency. Did you mean the existing narrow band system? Nobody is proposing that. I think the idea is to get a band wide enough for spread spectrum. I do not think it has to be as wide as the 2.4 Ghz band. That is wide enough for computer networks and that is a lot more data than a 12 channel radio with telementry. I also don't understand why two way telementry systems won't work since they have used more complex data systems on much lower frequencies.

Its the bandwidth that keep s100 Tx from conflicting.
Narrow that down and yipppee ai yay back to Tx control we go. I exaggerate a little because there is a long way between 75Mhz and 2400Mhz. However, the advantages of the bandwidth is very attractive to an RC application and its the same trait that allows many different devices to talk while in the same room.

Still awaiting a compelling arguement that says 2.4GHz is a dangerous place to be.
