TO be absolutely clear the TBS will only work with the DBC3 chip. The code is different and written to work with the TBS Benedini sound card. Older DBCRC2 will not work unless you buy the upgrade chip. You then have swap out the PIC chip on the DBC2HL with this new chip.

The Heng Long DBC that uses the standard HL radio will not work.

So if you have an existing DBC2 HL, all you need is the upgrade chip and the Benedini card to upgrade to this sound option

Output pins vs wires. Yes I started using output pins to get away from the inherent problem with solderered multi strand wire directly to the board. We are looking at bulk production of these and are continuing to fine tune the layout to make it easier to bulk produce. SO the board is in a redesign stage, but only for the purpose of easier manufacturing. The circuit is exactly the same.
