with you knowing it all, there's not need to say otherwise is there? you should call the guys at horizon and let them know that the transmitter has an eyeball that looks at your receiver during binding and says 'Yeap, that's a DSM1 receiver, i better modulate to DSM1 and not DSM2 on this one..............'
Your silly attempt at sarcasm aside, I got this from the horses mouth... so to speak.

You have it wrong.

A DSM2 TX does not change it's modulation, which is why DSM1 RX's will not work with DSM2 TX's.

If you have a DSM2 TX you have to upgrade the RX.

DSMX is a different story.
