The biggest secret to lockpicking is using the appropriate tool, it's all in how you bend the paperclip. Try to visualise the shape of the old key and make one prong a similar shape, use another paperclip which has a few slight zigzags in the end, underneath the primary one (or toward the tumblers, wherever they are), and move them both together in the same direction when you try to turn the lock.
