Should have known it would be an A-6 ordie talking smack about my bird. I was a Prowler ComNavRadar tech with VAQ 130 during the early to mid 80s. Three of the other squadrons on the Kitty Hawk during my two WestPacs were VA-145 flying A-6Es, VA-146 and 147, both flying A-7Es. What I found almost funny was that my quadrons 4 birds were faster in level flight than any other plane on board, INCLUDING THE TOMCAT.
