I disagree with your friend. Most of these are coming in at about 40 pounds and they fly just fine. They are not your typical yank and bank model, you actually have to fly this one. It does have some of the nasty characteristics of the full scale brother. It loves to porpoise if the CG is off and even then you have to let the elevator go to neutral on touchdown, don't hold it off and drop it in. You'll love flying it and people will flock around it to see a giant scale seaplane.
