Sadly the responsible FPV pilots are vastly outnumbered by the irresponsible ones. And they are taking down our entire hobby. So I hope you are very wrong. And I hope the intelligent members of this hobby can convince those that insist on flying ''RC'' though skyscraper filled downtowns and over 100 miles away to stop. But I know they won't - they will just look away and say hey it's just having fun. Until a lot of people get hurt.

the next evolution is just starting its FPV for planes and Heli's. I currently do not do FPV but its going to be a big part of the future in RC flight. See the world through your planes pilot seat thats a big leap in my mind. I know there are FPV haters out there. I am talking responsible pilots flying in non populated areas.
An excellent point and one that should be made more often. I got into FPV back in 2004 before it had a name. We built several platforms but settled on a telemaster. There are some serious safety issues with flying an unmanned aircraft in poulated areas and it is not something anyone should take lightly. We no longer fly FPV beyond visual range or beyong the confines of our flying field. There are just too many things that can go wrong and really cause damage or injury. That is the kind of irresposibility that will forever damage the RC hobby in the minds of the authorities and the public.
