I fly a G26EI with a 2700 Mah 4.8 pack and get routinely 4-5 12 minutes flights per day over the weekend. I usually top off at night before the next day but really dont have a problem with the G26EI ignition. Now we do have several G20EI in several Hgr 9 warbirds that do complain of having to run big packs (ie...2700 Mah 4 cell packs) for their ignitions because these motors do seem to pull more
amps than the g26EI ignitions do.

The bigger packs sometimes cause install problem in that the user has to take into consideration these packs for CG purposes. I know my G26EI box gets warm when used. I hesitate to say hot but it is warm. My RCXCEL ignitions dont seem to get hot or warm, my 3W ignitions do get warm but never hot.

Dont know if that helps but the Zenoah boxes are good stuff, totaly sealed and tough.
