Revert back to everything from the era you speak of... 25 years ago. Toss away everything you have in your hobby room made after 1985 and replace it with 1984 and before junk.

Glow 2 strokes make double the thrust at the hub previously made. 4 strokes are well developed.

Have fun flying models on the radios made back then; there's no comparison between those relics and the radios we have today.

Accessories like motor mounts, spinners, props, and wheels have made huge gains in performance and reliability at costs that are a joke.

You can imagine the hobby hasn't progressed much... ask anyone that has entered the hobby a year ago and recall what it was like 25 years back.

I guess there might be two ways to look at anything; I prefer to be candid and not lie to myself.
