Default RE: Electric smoke system - Smokewinder

Hi Guys,

We have a huge burner in a jet already. AND... once the smoke oil burns, it's not going to turn back into a liquid if cooled. SO... why not do this....

1) Use a regular electric smoke pump.
2) Use a a few wraps of stainless tube around the outside of the nozzle of the turbine for heat.
3) Use Teflon tubing feeding in and out of the stainless tube.
4) Use a check valve on the feed side so once the oil is pumped in... the heat, and pressure feeds the smoke system.

Basically... think about a drip coffee pot. You have a liquid tank, that feeds a coil with a check valve. A little liquid gets into the hot coil, and it gets boiled. The expanding fluid, is forced out the hoses to the coffee filter. In our case... it would just be out the wing tips.

It would take a little experimenting... but all the parts are cheap. And... as above... the electricity needed to produce good smoke will be hard to supply, and the burners would be too heavy.

So... don't re-invent the system, by adding a lot of weight. Just turn it into a plumbing project with materials that can take the heat.

Just my 2 cents.
