I have now owned my Switch for 6 months. In that time, Ihave put countless flights on it. I was into RC when Iwas in high school (glow), and recently wanted to get back into the hobby. The Switch was my choice. It is an alright airplane, but Ithink that Ihave outgrown it now.... Some issues I have seen after about 30 flights...
1). The landing gear is crap. It bends easily, and the plastic cowls break if you try to land on grass. Additionally, when you purchase replacement parts for the gear, it doesn't come with new hardware (screws).
2). The charger they give you is substandard. The one Irecieved in the box was faulty. Hobbico sent me a new one, which Ithought worked, but didn't. Two batteries, two chargers later, Ifinally have a no issues w/ the lipos/charger, however, my charger will still throw an error message near the end of a charging session (you just unplug it, and re plug it in. Rather annoying.
3). Batteries- Tower Hobbies convenantly stoped selling the Super Tigre 1800mAh batteries that where supplied in the box. They have all Super Tigre batteries, but not the 1800mAh. These cost approx. 12-15 dollars. Their substitution is an Electrifly battery from Great Planes. They cost $50.00, and you also need to purchase a Dean's adaptor (another 4-5 bucks).

Enough of the bad, you get the idea. Other than that, it is a solid airplane, and ihave had no complants. The radio, while a knock off brand, is actually pretty good. Ihavehad zero complantsabout it. It is durable, rugged, and for the most part, replacement parts are easy to come by.... You will have to order online, however, it is probably cheaper anyway. I purchased mine on sale @ Tower Hobbies for $234.00 shipped to my door.
