I use the old 4WD futaba AM i never had any problems at all don't listen to everyone now that 2.4 is out and so popular you can use AM and FM with no problem as 90% of RC'ers are now using 2.4.... you don't know how many times i seen guy's asking should i get rid of my old FM radio for racing rc cars and everyone always say's there is no need as most racers will be using 2.4 so a FM radio will be fine probably less glitches with the FM now that everyones using 2.4.


I say use the AM especially in a tank you have no worries if the tank went out of control you can go get it and pick it up not like it's going 30MPH!
