At the original Avro Triplane, the rear wing spars are separated externally by universal joints. I've found the infos in the documents from the years 1910 with a sketch. A.V. ROE has made it so, that the wing warping function properly.
As I recall, Don Coe ended up adding a hinge to his model's rear spar because he couldn't get the wing warping movement he needed without it.
Yes Abu, and this was only the Biplane, by the Triplane the ribs are to smaller....thereby impairing the wing warping further.
