the RC EXL tach has a male plug to connect to the female plug on the ignition box...the leads inside the box come from two different circuit boards..The sensor goes to the ignition board, the tach goes to the advance/retard board....
a box with no tach lead can be used with a Y connector, the tach plugs into the female lead on the Y connector, the male lead on the y connector plugs into the sensor...
All RC EXL igntions have a female lead for the sensor to plug into...
Ok so in my case you are saying the label is wrong. because my sensor from the ign that goes to the hall sensor on the engine are both female

I thought Ralphs post was pretty self explanatory. Especially the last line that says
"All RC EXL igntions have a female lead for the sensor to plug into"
Your labels are right as in your post you say
"the plug on the Ign. marked sensor is also a female plug"
What is wrong is your hall sensor has a wrong plug. Send it back to the dealer at the dealers expense because they obviously haven't QC checked the engine and there is more than likely other things unchecked. Make them correct their laziness at their expense, not yours.
Which dealer did you get it from?
