Let me see if you can help me converting the eflite Cessna 150 Aerobat to glow power. That's exactly my pre-summer project for this year (I'm in the southern hemisphere). Recently I've converted another eflite ARF, the AT6 Texan, with a .40 4 stroke engine and it turned out really great.
But the Texan I think was an easier kit to convert because of its big round open cowl. So my major concern is the space inside the Cessna cowl - I dont wanna strip nor cut the cowl a lot to fit an engine. I want scale look not something screaming at 25k.
I' ve owned both OS 10LA and the Thunder Tiger GP07, but now I'm concerning the Norvel .06 or.074. The OS is great, but the muffler in way too large for me. Is there a Pitts style muffler for the OS10?
The TT 07 is not powerfull, but it still can pull this bird with no problem, is quiet economic and with a muffler extension it can look good without opening the cowl too much.
The Norvels speak for themselves, but for this particular bird it be may TOO loud as I usually fly in a park behind my neighborhood.
So my question is: which engine will give the plane the most scale look and which dou you think is the best option given that I want scale look for scale aerobatics not astronomical revs???
Really appreciate.</span></font></div> <div class="smallfont" style="font: normal normal normal 11px/normal verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif; "></div> </td> </tr> </tbody></table>
