RE: Building the large 80 inch seaview
And now we get into the painting of the Seaview.There have been a lot of talk of different colors used in the shows.Some say it was painted a light gray.Others a blue gray color was used.Filming underwater will show different shades of paint then it really was.I wanted to look like the a darker gray like in the shows,This was used to show the model lighting underwater.Anyway you paint the color you like,but im going to go with this shade.First I primed the boat with napa primer no 7285 Then a few coats of ACE light gray paint was applied. Then to give it that real sub look,I lighty sprayed the Napa primer over the complete boat.This gave the model a flat look while also a more real look.Next time I will show the painting of the trim parts.
