Ultra Stick 40.......help
My son and I both had this airplane. He still has his. We used the OS 46 FX in both with quad servo set-up. I have flown one with a 60 and yes, there is much more power, but I did notice one thing. The 60 engine sure made the nose more nose heavy and it wanted to drop on landings. Maybe I was just more comfortable with the flight characteristics with the 46FX than with the 60. The 46 FX seemed to be a better weight and did not have this tendency. The power was nice with the 60 and a 60 may be a good bet for your next airplane, but I have to say that I would encourage the 46FX or maybe the 50. Same weight as the 46 but with more power. Maybe a good compromise. May want to consider this possibility.
One thing I didn't mention. I lost mine when the wing plate snapped lose and the stick went into the ground like a rocket. Ugly. A friend of mine saw this happen and then added reinforcements on his model under the fuselage where the dowels for the wing fit into the fuse and also around the wing plate. Simple to do. he just pealed back the covering and added a strip of hard wood with epoxy and then added a thin enlarged piece of ply to better distribute the added stresses applied to these areas when doing some of the more aggressive flight maneuvers. Seems to be a good mod to help keep it together.
Very nice fun airplane. Good luck with your decision.
