Ok, back at a real keyboard.

Yep, stencils certainly help. First the area was sprayed with white PPG DBC base coat. The skull stencil is positioned where you want and black DBC is applied. You end up with white skulls with black highlights. Pretty cool but kind of plain looking. The patience is highlighting and shading areas using an airbrush with more of the black base. You want to give the skulls some depth and seperation from the others creating a more 3D type effect. No different really then weathering. I then airbrushed some yellow and orange candy to brighten certain areas and then finally red candy to tie everything together. The result is a sea of evil skulls, too bad the area they are in most will rarely see.
