No worries. Yes the detail does come up well with a bit of paint. We replaced the raised rivets around the nose section from stock. On my one the composite fasteners were sanded down and a smaller screw wound in place. My painter sanded his flat and fitted Mick Reeves vinyl fasteners, and I have to say his look better [:@]
Yes. My gear did need a bit of juggling in order to fit.
Glad you like the colour scheme. I didn't think many people would.
