Red Sleigh Down
<div>Not quite sure where to post this so I guess I'll put it here. Got to get the word out so you folks can prepare your kids.</div><div></div><div>It is my sad duty to report Santa Claus, aka Kris Kringle, is dead. He died in a tragic aviation accident attempting a landing in a rural area a few miles north of Atmore. AL, at approximately 0538 this morning.</div><div></div><div>For years, Santa has made a test run with his sleigh on December 23rd. He always drops in on his old friends the Schmidts at the end of his run for a cup of hot cocoa some some of Mrs. Schmidt's most excellent gravy biscuits before he returns to the North Pole. Only this morning something went tragically wrong.</div><div></div><div>There was an eyewitness, the Schmidt's neighbor Billy Bumpuss, who was up early walking his dog. Bumpuss reports the sleigh veered off its landing pattern and crashed on top on an outbuilding behind the house. He saw a coal of some sort, probably from Santa's ever present pipe, fly into there air and then heard a tremendous explosion. Bumpuss and his dog were nearly overcome by the noxious gasses released and he says there was a brown mushroom shaped cloud over the farm for some minutes.</div><div></div><div>FAA was on the scene quickly and immediately found the cockpit recorder. They preliminarily report Santa's last words were, "No, Rudolph. I said land on the Schmidt house."</div><div></div><div>Further updates will be provided as available.</div><div></div><div>Santa, we're gonna miss ya. And I was a good boy this year. <sniff></sniff></div><div></div><div>Tom</div>
