It actually was/is a lipo battery issue - all 3 were "fried" - seems these lipos die easily - especially if run too long - which apparently means run long enough for the copter to begin to fade. It's a ridiculous flaw in these batteries - and if anyone has some tips please let us know how to remedy - so we don't have to buy new lipos every month or so...
