Mark, I'm glad you brought up the ''rolling loop''. There is a move afoot in the sequence committee to introduce it in the next/future Master's sequence. What a mistake! Most Master's flyers, that I know of, are not interested in ''bridging the gap'' to F3A. It's real easy, if you want to fly F3A, MOVE UP! Just please don't ask me to put my planes at risk just because you think it's best for all of us. Over these many years, I've seen more than my fair share of F3A pilots that would struggle to be competitive in the Advanced class let alone F3A! Let me take this a step further, I see there are plans in one of the first contests of 2012 here in D3 for all classes to fly 4 rounds of AMA/F3A and then 2 unknown rounds! This all sounds great on the surface until you introduce the specter of losing your 'prized'' pattern plane! NO THANKS, I'm not interested in yet another grand experiment or taking on additional risks just because you, the CD, thinks he either knows what's best for me or wants to make his contest more interesting! Let's see how many flyers will attend this contest! Any bets? Just my thoughts, Everette
I don't know about any rules proposals to add rolling radii (loops, circles) to Masters as I do not keep abreast of that. I will agree with Everette, if it is in the works, I don't think it's a good idea. I think that Masters has a good level of difficulty as-is. Those wanting no holds barred maneuver selection should move to F3A, as it IS the destination class.
