Ive thought of trying the rtv silicone myself on smaller parts,i used to use it years ago for making plaster fireplaces its great stuff but very expensive,to make a boat mould would probs cost a heck of a lot though and im not sure if it would keep things as straight as needed blus id think it wouldnt take long for it to get damaged as it cuts very easily.
