I have been in this hobby since 1982 and have met my share of "ex space shuttle door gunners". I have also met some actual famous WWII fighter pilots, the comander of the VF-1 fighter squadron, and some all around great guys. When you are involved in a group whose members you did not personally choose there will always be those that you can't stand, can just tolerate, or plain never get to know, but you will also find some great friends and make some great memories. I have hundreds of stories because of the people I have flown with and around, and some of the best stories are because of those people that most of us complain about. Too many people can't have fun unless their expectations are being met at all times. I prefer to hang with those that have fun even when things are not going the way they planned, or hoped they would.
