Hello!!
I am new to the forum and I am currently restoring 2 Sig Kougars. These are great airplanes!! One I have had since 1989 and the other one since 1991.
Does anyone have or know where I could get plans for a balsa built up wing for the Kougar?
There was a member by the name heli_Rod on some older posts I found that had drawn up wing plans for this plane, the last post he had was in 2007. Any help with this would greatly be appreciated! Thank You!! John
Perhaps easier than building up a new wing would be to plank just the leading and trailing edges of the foam, glue in "cap strips" between the leadng and trailing edges, cut out the foam between the cap strips, and end up with foam ribs capped with balsa. Cover with quality heat shrink film (NOT low temp film). I would also hot wire out a groove for a hardwood dihedral joiner to stifgfen the wing center joint.
