i just left a hobby after a good ten year run that was destroyed by this type of inter-faction bull*****e

95% of the men you meet at these clubs are ex-apollo astronauts, doolitte raiders and jet jockeys....where is the leadership out of that ?

good lord, moses, mary and tony janus...........
When you are involved in a group whose members you did not personally choose there will always be those that you can't stand, can just tolerate, or plain never get to know, but you will also find some great friends and make some great memories. I have hundreds of stories because of the people I have flown with and around, and some of the best stories are because of those people that most of us complain about. Too many people can't have fun unless their expectations are being met at all times. I prefer to hang with those that have fun even when things are not going the way they planned, or hoped they would.
I think part of the reason for the original title of this thread is that R/C is an individual hobby, and people express their interest/passion thru building, modifying, flying, etc and we DO like to share/show off to others what we can do, whether it's detailing out a scale warbird, building a screaming delta, or "throwing a cat in the air" 3Ding. It's when we run into others that don't share our same interest or passion that we run into problems. Those sometimes become the ones we can't stand. I spent the afternoon at our club's montly indoor fly in, mostly flying my FF Edge 540 epp foamy. Didn't seem to get anyone "hating" 3D, but I tried to stay outta the way some, and watched others fly helis, micros, and other 3D'ers. Had a great time!
