Does Giving away planes Have a Reward?
only if the person that you are giving it to will use it, and not try to sell it...
Good point. So often folks think you should just give stuff to anyone just because you feel like it. That is wasteful and not using good sense. We have brains for a reason [X(]
There are so many ways to give badly and many do it without using the stuff between their ears. Some will say, ''well, it was the act of giving.'' Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. It is more like it was the act of giving in ignorance! It is sort of like giving a man a pair of shoes that has no legs, oh but it is the ''act of giving that counts.'' Well, not to the man with no legs. He can't do anything with shoes. He may be in need of something else much more important than a pair of shoes.
I once remembered a story of a poor man who was starving and did not have any money for food. Some people went and bought him a bunch of frozen dinners and dropped them off at his door. Later they found out he starved to death because he did not have a stove to cook the frozen dinners in.
I think the same sentiment goes with RC planes. Give sensibly and reasonably for the right purpose. Don't throw your used RC Jet over to someone that has never flown a trainer. It will more than likely be a bad example of giving
Really!! [X(]That is the best you could come up with?????? Why not just say you`re not giving anything away. I will respect you more for that.
Whether I give anything away or not, is not in question. My point was to use sound judgment and not to throw or give things in a bad or wrong way. Now, let me go give my neighbor's five year old a 50cc chainsaw just because I feel like giving them away - NOT. [:-]
