The best diorama bases can be made easy using picture frames. Plenty of variety at Wall Mart, Michaels and just about anyone who deals with home hobbies. Just use the frame for a base and contour the bottom with paper mache. Here are some examples on 1;35 and one at HO guage. Frames can be found in any size and depth, saving lots of time building a diorama base.

The one with the Tiger was damaged at the museum and someone placed the guy lifting the round of 88 in the wrong place,,,he is now standing by the opened ammo boxes where he is supposed to be. The HO scale was made as a joke for the National Guard after a driver drove an M-48 off and bellied it up on a RR flatcar . I loaded the wrong photo of Rabbi Sherman...and couldn't find how to delete it...the last is OK. Another humorous model...Our Rabbi is Daniel Sherman and plays a very nice guitar. The model is a very good 1;35 M-51...nice to use in correcting all the goofs on Tamiya's RC "so called Super Sherman".
