Plug a servo in. Work whatever the TX has to operate the channel. Observe the servo. Does it just have 2 positions or can it be stopped in any position? An ESC will follow the samebehaviour. If proportional. the ESC will work as required. If just 2 positions, you get 2 speeds, one might be stopped, it might be anything else.
I was thinking the 3rd or more channels were just an on/off switch that could also use a servo. I would like to plug in a small esc into the 3rd channel. It would be nice to have a 3rd channel proportional knob to adjust speed on an esc.
