RE: dropping candy?
DON'T drop it on the kids !!!!! You are looking for a law suit . In this day and age if a kid gets a bruise you are going to court. Besides you don't want to take a chance of hurting a kid.
Of all the candy drops I've made and it's a few, we always held the kids until the plane passed in front of us, then get the plane up to a safe altitude in a holding pattern . That way we could control the whole game and be in position to dump the plane in an emergency.
One of the things I learned about dropping is to fly fairly low and slow ( about 30 ' ) and start the drop about 1/3 the way down the strip. If you drop from to high, you will probably miss your target and if you start the drop to soon you will probably dump the whole load short of the target. Have Fun and ENJOY !!! RED
