There is so much that makes RCU tick, and getting the pieces of software to talk to each other from forums to the other parts of the site is coding that has taken place over the last 10 years. Getting everything ported to the new owners was a major undertaking that was more than anticipated. It's been a major focus for them since the transition and they are finally in a place in the code that allows them to start considering better software that will function similar, but will not have all the code breaks and inconsistencies that cause these problems currently.

They're making progress. The problem is nobody can see all the work they have done the past 8-12 months and only experience the problems. However, their work WILL pay off in speed and stability as they clean up the code. It's a process that was long over due, new owners or not. It's jut finally getting done.
