can't answer in the UK I usually just use ebay personally.
For brushed I like the Traxxas XL-5, an the HPI EN-1/SC15 are ok for 27t motors. But that is just me.

For a few bucks you could get the BEC, and just wire it to the TEU pretty much they just plug into the extra wire, and like I said prior you disconnect the red wire on the 2nd channel
