Default RE: Lado E-door actuators

If you want to buy these you can order them from Christophe directly from Lado. I have asked many questions in the last few days and he has been very responsive to ALL of my questions. I would not hesitate to order directly from him. You can place an order on line like any other company.

The e-doors are pretty simple and as I understand it they use a board that you plug all 3 cylinders into and then that board plugs into your receiver I think, using only one channel. I believe they have a delay feature in the programming feature so a sequencer in unnecessary.

You can also follow the link on his web site to a complete video section on YouTube that has many photos on both the e-door actuators and the gear actuators that can be used for conversion of your air powered retract units. In the past few days I have researched both Down and Locked, and Lado extensively concerning gear conversions to electric and there are advantages to both methods.

With Down and Locked they perform the conversion and provide a great service with warranty but it is a little pricey. Converting gear using Lado actuators may require a little creativity on some gear but it will be much less expensive if you are comfortable doing the conversion yourself. Many gear units are as simple as drilling and tapping your slider and installing the new actuator in place of the air cylinder. The 15mm wide actuator is identically sized to all three retract units I have available in my shop and will drop right in place. The other nice feature of the Lado units is that a programming board is available that allows you to delay gear up/down cycle time if needed. The same programming board can be used for the e-door actuators I believe. Down and Locked gear does not have any adjustable programming. When it leaves the factory it is pre programmed. The programming flexibility on the Lado units is a nice feature in my opinion and eliminate the need for a sequencer.

I believe that Christophe is the new owner of Lado and there is a nice video of his factory on YouTube. Looks like he has some very nice equipment with which he is producing the CNC manufactured Lado products. He was very helpful in my research. I am unfortunately not able to use the e-door cylinders because of the size of the e-door actuators but I am ordering two of the Lado gear actuators to convert my Jet Legend F-16 to electric gear. Christophe even offered to convert my gear for me if I wanted to send it to him, but I will probably do it myself just because it is so simple.
