The arrangement you ended up with will work fine Colin.
I had a similar depth problem with the elevon servos in my Fei-Bao Mirage and got around it by making some cradles up that minimised space used 'above' the servo. This is no use to you now but someone reading might find the pics handy!

Hi Dick, yes I like your solution - I was one step away from that one but I didnt have any CSK screws of the right size. Anyway all done now. Its not necessarily a "problem" as such. Just one of those things with building an ARF jet.
For any kits bought through us we will provide a "trinket" pack to help the builder get some of these little things done without another visit to the model shop as they always seem to crop up at 6pm on a Sunday when none of the pesky model shops are open!
