This is nothing ground breaking. Basically RTR DBC with less features. It is an option , but a very limited one from what I understand.

Before I bought one here is the questions I would ask myself

Does it and slow down the drive motors as hits are registered. If it doesn't then it will not be well received by the estabilshed IR battle community?.

Does it provide different weight classes.?

Does it accept a Tamiya apple?

If the answer was yes to the above three questions, then I would consider this a viable option. If it does not then I would caution you this device may be taking you down a dead end path that will become an island of users. I am all for more choices, but this hobby needs to be careful that we get some standards set so manufacturers have someting to design and build to to ensure complete compatiblibily between systems. Otherwise I just view this development as something else to fragment an already small group.
