Oh, don't get me wrong. Tamiya and Testors are number one in my book. BUT, I have no local Hobby Store (must drive over 25 miles) so when I run low it makes more sense to expand my taste some.
I mean, we all know Tamiya sprays are a bit salty ... what, $6.39 at Tower Hobbies for example for the 3 oz. can. You DO get what you pay for, and excellent paint with an excellent spray nozzle that lays the paint down nice and smooth.
Now, RUST-OLEUM at Lowes has a 12 oz. can (and for example I needed flat black) for $3.98. Do the math. AND, I think if performed properly the RUST-OLEUM will put down a comparable finish too.
Big savings in these days where pinching a few pennies makes the hobby dollar stretch a bit more.
