Default RE: The perfect setup?

I've been looking at the 18MZ not just as an upgrade but also as a tool to remove weight/complexity from the airframe. This radio has enough channels and programming features that I should never need any onboard matchboxes, sequencers, etc. Couple that with dual A123's with dual switches and maybe some sbus distributed receivers and I should be able to save a bunch of weight. Plus the cost savings should help offset some of the extra costs of the Futaba receivers with the added benefit of telemetry - mainly for battery voltage but fuel level and airspeed would be nice too.
