fast peak charging a Futaba 6DA
I use a Hobbico QuickPeak fast field charger to regularly charge my transmitter, which is a Futaba 6DA. I do not remove the battery from the transmitter. I just plug the fast charger directly into the charge jack.
This charger uses delta V peak detection. I've read where the diode that exists in some Futaba radios can cause problems with this type of charger. My manual says nothing about a diode.
Does the 6DA have a diode? Am I harming the battery by fast peak charging it directly through the charging jack?
thanks,
Greg
