Ah, I've rather forgotten about this thread. Did'nt get many responses.
I've actually built and flown the YAK-9. She flies brilliantly. Looks really great in the air with the Winter Scheme.
Not a difficult model at all to build. Make sure the dihedral of your wing halves match when you join them. I had to remove the steerable tail wheel assembly from the model in order to tighten up the grub screw properly, other wise... no real dramas.
