Default RE: C-Arf SF 260 TP build thread

Hey feel free to post what you want here. Ithink the SF260 will be a really good plane
no matter what it's powered with. Iam just about to install my wheel; brake kit but
discovered that the wheels need to have a flat spot machined on the hubs
to form a flat gluing surface for the rubber brake disc.
Ihave an early kit so my wheels arrived without this feature. Imade up a tool
that will fit into my drill press and enable me to grind (actually sand)a nice flat spot
just a tiny bit larger than the ODof the pads. If you look closely
at the instructions that come with the brake kit ORon the .pdf online...
you can see the flat spot that was machined to accept the pad.
Hopefully C-Arf will start doing this for future shipments. Idon't think the brakes will work that great
if the rubber pad is not dead flat!

P.S Iwent 1 size smaller with my main wheels since the one supplied JUSTfit into the wells in the wing. Idon't think 1/2"smaller
will affect anything

Good luck with your plane as well...
