Yes big problem with models like these is the quality of the gluing, but easily sorted to a modeller, snag is many that build ARTF's think glue is only 5 min epoxy and superglue !
One method recently used on a cheap chineese ARTF was to run aliphatic resin (better than normal pva) down all the wood joints by simply squeezing out a blob on the joint and holding the wing/fuse vertical so it ran all the way down the joint.
With a bit of time I was able to apply glue to most areas of the wing with retract/flap/aileron hatches etc you can get at most of the important areas.
Aliphatic resin is an excellent glue for wood and much quicker drying than old PVA, very under used except by the true modeller
Only job for wood formers to fibreglass is hysol used with the applicator tube, very easy to do, when done pull out the centre of the applicator tube, mix and apply the excess by hand, so very little waste.
