No, I've actually used the Hobbyking digital electric retracts HKD-514. Suitable for models up to 4.7 kg apparently. They work great.

I originally used Eflite electric retract units in my VQ Macchi 205. They stopped working after a few weeks of flying. I have had no such trouble with the Hobbyking units in the YAK-9, so I retro-fitted a set into the Macchi. They've been working fine so far as well.
