Default RE: beginner TX RX help

I did a google search on the AXN Floater Jet and came up with this from Hobby King:

Specifications:
Wingspan: 1290mm
Fuse Length: 860mm
Motor: 2100Kv 3S Outrunner (included)
Propeller: 5x5inch x 2pc (included)
ESC: 20A (included)
Servos: 4 x 9g servo (included)

As for the TX/RX, just about any will work.. Airtronics, Spektrum, Hitec, JR, Futaba.. all have systems what will work. I have a Spektrum DX6i and use it on electrics as well as glow. It is a great system. Also, Airtroncis makes the RDS8000 8 channel system, $219 from Hobby King and it comes with a receiver. The ESC, if it is like most, has BEC and the throttle plugs into the RX and powers it up. As for a battery, well, they recommend a 1800~2200mAh 3s LiPo pack.

Sort of answers your questions.
