Nice one Jim. I'd venture that mating the top and bottom TE sheeting by "end bonding" the webs would allow classic designs to use considerably less wide TE sheeting probably also lightening the wing slightly (perhaps the glue would cancel any weight savings). But the coupled D-tube and "V-tube" would be interesting to build and very stiff.
Definitely something I'll try and relatively easy to do on a wing with a straight TE and constant inter-rib spacing.
