Nope, 3DRC is all correct (you can check this with Mike McConville's guides)
I agree it is a bit misleading, but after all they're only names, and being an American term originally, I don't think it comes from the RAF Harrier.
The parachute term is taken from where a full size parachute is deployed, resulting in a sudden loss of airspeed, and a much slower descent.
Elevator: Comes form the US term for a 'lift'... You know how an elevator goes straight down but pretty slowly.
Harrier: God knows where that came from!
Blender: if you have a heavy plane, blend it, and it looks just like youve put some mushrooms n stuff in the blender! Light planes do it too but not as violently, and often require spoilerons.
Wall: Looks like you've hit a wall.
