Sorry, it's been a tense week, and I had to post something not so serious.

I guess no one should be proud of a crash, but I still have to say, this one was spectacular. After a dive from about 1000 feet and a high speed pass down the runway, I took a second to glance, and make sure another plane was clear, before pulling vertical. The rest is history...

The plane hit at a relatively flat angle, sending a "spray" of debris into the air. The engine was found about 100 feet away from impact, in the tall grass shown in the photo.
