Changing gears will make it faster. You can just change one or the other. The pinion is what is mostly changed, it changes things a bit more than changing spurs. Try to get 4 or 5 different size pinions, like 18t-22t. That way you can put one on, run it, then test temps. If its still cool move up to the next one till it starts getting to hot or you run out of pinions
