RE: Kyosho DRX Lancia Stratos
It was an impressive slop in the steering and the wheel hubs, so this had to be fixed. Which would be totally unneccessary if Kyosho had made the parts with the right tolerances at first! There is no excuse making this sloppy parts for an rc-car nowadays. Sometimes i wonder how Kyosho has won so many championships, but i guess they didn't won them with sloppy parts.
That aside, here is what i did; i took off the hubs, finding the bore in the hub for the large inner bearing to be the sloppy part. I then took a centrepunch and worked my way around the boring for the bearing, making the plastic expand. Then i filled it with glue, which when harden will fill the gap between the bearing and the hub. Installed the bearing, and away and gone was all the slop.

I forgot to set the camera to macro so it is not the sharpest view, but you can still hear the slop through that mysterious sound the camera makes. That "ticking" sound is mostly from the ball links in fact.
