<h3><font color="#800000">Due it the o'l fashioned way</font>. take 2 pieces of 3/4 wide x length of rudder, cotton cloth, place them face to face and stitch them down the middle top to bottom. Pull back the covering use some thick CA or Slow Glue to glue the hing material U to the Rudder. Then when dry Install the other U to the Vertical Stab with Glue. Re apply the original covering with your Iron. Walla all done and will out last the Airplane.</h3>
Out last the plane..... Well. I don't need the hinges to outlast the plane do I? (iguess we wouldn't b having this discussion if they didfrom the beginning)Is it worth all that trouble or does it just sound like trouble, ha ha. I will crash the plane b4 the hinges where to fail me again,"I do believe" So I'll stick with the 10 minute job that requires no surgery at this time. lol.
Sure the hinge did indeed fail b4 the plane, but I believe if it were set up right from the get go, it would still b kicking, and the fact it is OLD as the hills. Well to me, it's old. So reinstalling hinges will probably out last it!
